ABOUT US

Chartered by the Government of Sindh, Iqra University was established in Karachi in 1998. The University is a brainchild of Mr. Hunaid Lakhani, Founding Chancellor & Chairman of Iqra University, whose aim was to establish a premier institution of higher learning.

Having several achievements to its name, Iqra University is ranked amongst the League of the Top QS Ranked International Universities of Asia. IU has also been ranked first in the Province of Sindh.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Iqra University is committed to working with all deserving students to assist them in financing their graduate education. Our financial aid program includes need-based grants and scholarships, merit-based fellowships, educational loans, work-study and teaching assistantships. Iqra offers free ships (100% tuition fee off) to all position holders of all the National Boards and Universities in the programs of their choice in the first semester. Merit Scholarships are awarded each semester to position holders based on CGPA earned with full semester load.

LIBRARY

Information Resource Centre (IRC) has more than 80,000 books, covering many subjects, professions and general reading material. Latest textbooks and reference publications are continuously added to the IRC collection, as per the HEC, PEC & users’ requirements.

COMPUTER RESOURCE CENTER

Computer Resource Centre (CRC) is equipped with the latest branded computers, maintaining a 1:1 student-computer ratio. Access to these computers is given to students through individual accounts.

STUDENT SOCIETIES

Iqra University places particular emphasis on arranging research programs, seminars, workshops and symposiums. Student societies also organize events like concerts, picnic , sports events and other extra curiculum activies.
